SUMMARY:SecuryzrTM iSSP: Simplifying security lifecycle management with PUF
DESCRIPTION:A Physically Unclonable Function or PUF is a function used to generate secret information on-chip. Information such as a secret key / public key pair may be generated on-chip each time it is needed\, while the secret key never needs to be output from the chip. \nThus the attack surface is reduced\, since only the public key needs to be extracted from the chip. This enables Zero-Trust Onboarding. \nThe intrinsic properties of the PUF and its operation make it impervious to tampering: security may not be compromised. \nMoreover\, it is possible to enroll chips late in the manufacturing process (Zero-Touch Onboarding). \nThanks to these features\, the PUF allows to enhance the security in many different applications based on cryptographic keys\, such authentication protocols\, data confidentiality and integrity\, or Secure Boot. \nBy leveraging end points integrated security\, the PUF advantages make it the perfect fit for connected devices life cycle management solutions such as Secure-IC iSSP\, which maintains over time the right level of security for fleets of devices\, during their full life-time\, by mitigating the growing threats and vulnerabilities in the field and protecting end-user devices from cyberattacks at both the network and device levels\, filtering attacks in real time and implementing a centralized protection mechanism for all connected modules. \nThis webinar will help you understand: \n\nWhy we need PUF security and how does it work?\nWhat is lifecycle security?\nHow we can leverage end points integrated security for lifecycle management?\n\n\nSylvain GUILLEY\nCTO at Secure-IC\n \nSylvain Guilley is co-founder and CTO at Secure-IC. Sylvain is also professor at “Télécom ParisTech”\, associate research at “École Normale Supérieure” (ENS)\, and adjunct professor at the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). His research interests are trusted computing\, cyber-physical security\, secure prototyping in FPGA and ASIC\, and formal / mathematical methods. \nSince 2012\, he organizes the PROOFS workshop\, which brings together researchers whose objective is to increase the trust in the security of embedded systems. Sylvain is also lead editor of international standards\, such as ISO/IEC 20897 (Physically Unclonable Functions) and ISO/IEC 20085 (Calibration of non-invasive testing tools). \nSylvain has co-authored 200+ research papers and filed 30+ patents. He is member of the IACR\, and senior member of the IEEE and the CryptArchi club. He is alumni from “École Polytechnique” and “Télécom ParisTech”.

SUMMARY:Extending Processors into Flexible Accelerators for 5G
DESCRIPTION:The slowing down of Moore’s law and Dennard scaling has triggered an increased interest in application-specific instruction set processors (ASIPs). ASIPs implement a specialized instruction set architecture (ISA) tailored to the application and can replace traditional fixed-function hardware accelerators\, thereby introducing software-programmability in the acceleration domain\, and thus more flexibility and agility in both the design process and the end product.\nJoin us at Synopsys’ ASIP Designer™ Virtual Seminar 2022 to learn why ASIPs are getting so much attention these days\, and why Synopsys’ ASIP Designer is the industry’s leading tool to design\, implement\, program and verify such specialized processors.\nThis event focuses on ASIPs for 5G wireless applications and will cover the following topics:\n\n\n\nAn introduction to the ASIP Designer tool suite\nCase study: An Application Specific Vector Processor for CNN-based Massive MIMO Positioning\nCase study: 5G NR MMSE Channel Equalization using Cholesky Decomposition\n\n\n\nIf you are a design engineer\, algorithm developer\, software engineer\, system architect\, or design manager focusing on advanced SoCs requiring application-specific optimizations\, you won’t want to miss this event.\n\n\nPresenters: \n\n\n\n\n\nPatrick Verbist\n\n\nProduct Marketing Manager\n\n\nSynopsys Belgium\n\n\n\n\nPatrick Verbist is the Product Marketing Manager for Synopsys’ ASIP Designer tools. SUMMARY:Simplify & Streamline Development of ISO 26262 Compliant Automotive SoCs
DESCRIPTION:Standards such as ISO 26262 define strict requirements\, processes\, and methods that all stakeholders – IP vendors\, sub-system developers\, and semiconductor SoC and system developers – must abide by when designing safety-critical automotive products. One such requirement is the Development Interface Agreement (DIA)\, which defines the interactions\, interfaces\, responsibilities\, dependencies\, and work products exchanged between customers and suppliers for all distributed safety-related activities.\n\nThis 60-minute Webinar explains the details of distributed development based on DIA and outlines the different activities for which DIAs must be signed during a distributed development process. In the second part of the presentation\, an engineer from Infineon discusses their approach to meeting SoC-level functional safety objectives while closely collaborating with Synopsys.\n\n\nSpeakers:\nDietmar Koenig\, Lead Principal Engineer\, Infineon\nDietmar Koenig is a Lead Principal Engineer at Infineon with technical responsibility for the execution of safety-related work products in the Infineon Automotive Microcontroller division. SUMMARY:Embedded Applications Get a Helping Hand: Extensible Processor Architectures
DESCRIPTION:Industry consolidation and cost streamlining eliminated many proprietary processor architectures and channeled alignment to a subset of standardized instruction set architectures (ISAs). Today\, many embedded applications such as those found in artificial intelligence (AI)\, automotive and storage segments require increased bandwidth and memory address space expansion. As Moore’s law slows\, design teams seek different ways to deliver unique solutions for these applications while maintaining power\, performance\, and area (PPA) goals. Designers commonly start with a standard ISA based processor to benefit from common tools\, and software ecosystem\, but look to extend the architecture to meet their product’s unique needs. This discussion will explore how highly extensible processor architectures can enable designers to meet their application requirements and provide SoC differentiation. \nAttend this Synopsys webinar to learn about: \n\nTypical ISA trade-offs designers must make for high-end application development\nHow to achieve design flexibility through configurable\, scalable processor architectures\nHow leveraging extensibility options of Synopsys ARC® Processors can provide SoC differentiation\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSpeakers\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRich Collins\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDirector of Product Marketing\nSynopsys \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRich Collins is director of product marketing for ARC Processors and Subsystems at Synopsys. Rich has over 25 years of experience in embedded semiconductor R&D\, product marketing and business development\, including 17 years at Motorola/Freescale before joining Synopsys. SUMMARY:DSP IP for High Performance Sensor Fusion on an Embedded Budget
DESCRIPTION:The growing use of a variety of sensors in edge devices – from wearables to virtual assistants to automotive radar/LiDAR – requires SoCs to have an optimal balance of DSP performance and low power/area. In addition\, SoC developers must be able to easily scale their hardware architectures to handle a varying number of data streams while preserving their software investment; it’s just not practical to start over when the current or next design requires a higher or lower level of throughput. \nIn this webinar we will highlight some of the sensor fusion applications driving the need for more efficient digital signal processing\, often combining classical filtering operations and AI-based decision making. Featuring the Synopsys ARC® VPX DSP family\, we will explain key functions that can be optimized to handle a spectrum of sensor fusion workloads\, while adhering to a single programming environment. \nSpeaker\n\n\n\n\nPieter van der Wolf\n\n\nPrincipal R&D Engineer\nSynopsys \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPieter van der Wolf is a Principal R&D Engineer at Synopsys. SUMMARY:Adding Intelligence to Electronic Product Lifecycle using Requirements management
DESCRIPTION:This Webinar will cover a methodology that can be easily integrated into the system design and systems engineering process. VisualSim Insight Engine provides an intelligent way to connect the Requirements to system specification by running Monte Carlo simulation to detect the quality\, efficiency\, reliability and compliance to the Requirements. You can identify areas of improvement\, detect bottlenecks and also determine the expected behavior when the system is integrated. Unlike current solutions that treat Requirements as a document\, this dynamic solution tracks the system behavior through the design process and ensure the results are adhering to the Requirements. \nDuring this Webinar\, we will cover the translation of Requirements into system logic for use in systems engineering simulation\, setup the Requirements for a system\, semiconductor or network\, visualize the comparison and reports\, and make decisions. We will use an automotive\, processor and a radar signal processing system as examples to illustrate the benefits. \n1. Do you have formal Requirements program? \n2. Would you like to integrate Requirements into the product design flow? \n3. Do you want to optimize the system specification to meet and not over/under design? \n4. Are you trying to simulate your SysML specification to meet performance and power goals? \nHost\nDeepak Shankar is the Founder of Mirabilis Design and has been involved in the Requirements simulation\, systems engineering and architecture exploration of processors\, avionics\, network gateways\,. Mr. Shankar started Mirabilis Design because of a vacuum in the integration of requirements into systems engineering and modeling. Deepak has published over 50 articles and presented at over 30 conferences in EDA\, semiconductors and embedded computing. Mr. Shankar has an MBA from UC Berkeley\, MS in from Clemson University and BS from Coimbatore Institute of Technology\, both in Electronics and Communication.

SUMMARY:Protecting Connected IoT devices against Quantum computing threats: Post Quantum Cryptography
DESCRIPTION:With Sofiane Takarabt\, Program Manager of Applied Cryptography at Secure-IC\nThursday\, April 28\, 2022 – 10:00 AM (CET) & 17:30 (CET) – 11:30 AM (EST) \nIn a world of ubiquitous connected devices\, massive exchange of sensitive data must be protected with cryptographic functions. It is also necessary to prepare for the advent of quantum computers which will make classic asymmetric cryptography obsolete. The recent trend of standardization pushes indeed a safe quantum cryptography. Thus\, a wide variety of communication systems and public key infrastructures must be updated with post-quantum cryptography solutions. In this presentation\, we discuss the three main functions; signature verification\, key encapsulation and secure boot\, and how to provide these services in different contexts and constraints of performance. \nThis webinar will help you understand: \n\nThe main applications for PQC algorithms\, giving an accurate understanding of the subject\nHow classic asymmetric cryptography algorithms may be replaced\nHow PQC can be implemented in all kinds of applications\, to answer a variety of use cases\n\nInsights will also be given on the way to best choose and implement the algorithms to answer various performance constraints. \n

SUMMARY:What's Behind the Infrastructure of the CORE-V Family
DESCRIPTION:Automated code validation\, continuous integration and test regression are cornerstones of OpenHW Group’s community-based engineering process to develop and verify high-quality processor cores. OpenHW Group is deploying a state-of-the-art Test Automation and Continuous Integration environment to achieve these objectives across our diverse projects\, resulting in faster development cycles with increased quality. In this webinar\, Florian Zaruba and Massimiliano (Max) Giacometti of the OpenHW Group staff will review OpenHW’s CI requirements and approaches. \nA critical component to highlight is the robust design equivalence checking solution\, which ensures that only the expected changes have been implemented at check-in points and no downstream functional bugs are introduced across logical Boolean\, low power intent\, and clock/reset domain contexts. David Stratman\, Product Management Director at Cadence Design Systems\, will discuss the Cadence Conformal suite of tools anchored by their Logical Equivalence Checking (LEC) solution. \nRick O’Connor of OpenHW Group will be moderating the discussion.

SUMMARY:Imperas RISC-V simulation technology with eSol Trinity and NSITEXE
DESCRIPTION:Imperas Software Ltd.\, the leader in RISC-V simulation solutions\, today announced with eSol Trinity the webinar event on RISC-V reference models and simulation technology for the growing adoption of RISC-V in Japan. This webinar will feature a guest speaker – Mr. Marume of NSITEXE Co.\, Ltd.\, a group company of the DENSO Corporation that develops and sells high-performance semiconductor IPs\, will introduce an example of using the Imperas RISC-V reference model and simulator. \nRISC-V is an open ISA (Instruction Set Architecture)\, which permits many configurations and options for processor implementation and microarchitectural features. The vector instruction extensions support complex arithmetic operations required for applications involving linear algebra\, such as AI (Artificial Intelligence) and ML (Machine Learning). Extensive test and verification is required to achieve the Automotive industry standard ASIL D safety requirement level of the ISO 26262 functional safety standard for vehicles. \nVirtual Platforms based on Imperas models and simulator allow early SoC architectural exploration as system developers map complex AI algorithms to new multiprocessor configurations. As RISC-V supports both standard instruction extensions such as vectors\, as well as user defined custom instructions\, the Imperas models and analysis tools support the complete flexibility and design freedoms for the front-end design flow. As the project develops to the next phase\, the hardware design verification (DV) team can use the Imperas RISC-V reference model and verification suite to validate the design before tape-out. Due to the broad range of configurations available for the vector extensions the Imperas verification suite includes a compliance validation test to ensure early software compatibility with the growing ecosystem supporting RISC-V vector extensions. \n  \nWebinar:    ‘Imperas RISC-V reference model and high speed simulation technology’\nWhen:         March 30th 2022\nWhere:        2:00-2:30pm (JST) Live streaming (Zoom) \nFor more information including registration please visit this link.\nAbout Imperas \nFor more information about Imperas\, please see www.imperas.com.
