Validating Clarity 3D Solver Accuracy Through Measurement Correlation

January 25 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am PST

Cadence, January 25, 2024

Cadence’s Clarity 3D Solver is an industry-leading EM simulation platform used by hundreds of design teams to address signal and power integrity (SI/PI) challenges. By solving bigger problems on more efficient compute resources, Clarity 3D Solver users have reimagined what can be done with 3D finite element method (FEM) solver technology. However, EM extraction results to 50GHz and beyond require correlation to lab measurement.

This webinar presents a case study that shares the experience and best practices for achieving measurement-to-simulation correlation with Clarity based on the Wild River CMP-50 IEEE P370 compliant test fixture, where lab measurements have been taken from DC to 50GHz. Topics covered include material property identification, correlation challenges, the influence of connector models, manufacturing tolerance/variation, and more.

The audience will learn:

  • Best practices for using Clarity to achieve measurement-to-simulation correlation
  • Case study using the Wild River CMP-50 IEEE P370 compliant test fixture with lab measurements from DC to 50GHz
  • Explanation of material property identification, correlation challenges, influence of connector models, manufacturing tolerance/variation, and more
